Well, it certainly has been a long time since I've blogged.
And I'm not sure that I like it.
A lot has happened in the past little while, what with surprise visits from friends who were thought to have been in Ireland, to visiting parents and family in Vancouver.
It was a really nice surprise to find out that both Meaghan and Caitlin had decided to come home early, and surprise Rachel on her birthday! Life really hasn't been very quiet now that they're back and most of our friends who are staying in Edmonton between semesters have free time. The good weather and late sunsets (10:00 PM in MAY? my Vancouver is showing...) have definitely helped with the goings on for us. Lots of time is starting to be spent outdoors, with visits to the park now happening almost weekly. Life is getting easier to live, and I like it.
I also spent some time with Rachel in Vancouver, visiting my family. It's been unseasonally "cold" there and so most of the plants were a month late for blooming and such, but it was still a much much more green atmosphere. We spent a lovely few days there, and even managed to snag some Aquarium time, as well as some Sushi (right after our visit to the aquarium!). Sunday, Mothers' day, was spent with a nice walk through the Glades, which is a 10 acre garden filled to the brim with Rhododendrons, some of which seem more like trees than bushes or shrubs. Even with the plants being so behind in their flowering stages, it was still very pretty.
That's really all I can think of to write at the moment, but hopefully I'll be able to sit down and pump out a few more posts this month. Maybe it will encourage a few others to blahg as well! (hint hint)
